Birchbox | July 2014

As my last Birchbox arrived quite late in the month this seems to have come round really quickly! Please let me apologise in advance for some of the photos, I dropped and broke my lens on my Canon, I'm currently crying inside because it's really had it, I struggled through even though it wouldn't focus on anything unless I was a certain distance away :( anyway, on to my Birchbox
This month is all about Sun, Sea & Sand, the things we should be experiencing in July but with this classic British weather we really aren't.
The little instructional cards this month are all beach themed with sayings like 'Don't get crabby' and 'Just keep swimming' soooo cute!

REVIEW | L'Oreal | Nude Magique Blur Cream

When I first saw this I didn't actually know what it was, sat in the foundation section of the L'oreal stand looking pretty I just thought 'oh, another BB cream' as it's packaged similarly to their BB and CC range, I've also seen multiple people moaning that this 'foundation/cream' is rubbish so I didn't pay it much attention. (This also leads me to believe people don't read product packaging!) I thought for the first few seconds it was a foundation like lots of other confused shoppers, well.. being in the foundation section, being available in two shades, light to medium and medium to dark all of this would lead you to think it's a foundation right? Wrong.
After hastily opening the sample and squeezing some out in the shop I instantly thought 'hallelujah!' a 'primer' that's the perfect consistency then I realised I had stumbled upon the holy grail of dupes. A dupe for the mighty Benefit Porefessional.

WISHLIST | April

Wishlist | March

I am in love with the new influx of beautiful gemstone and raw stone necklaces that have sprung up lately, between you and I for most of my childhood I collected a magazine called 'Treasures of the earth' that included a gem or mineral every two weeks, I kept my little collection secret for years but now I can let it free, I wish I'd kept them because I could have made some awesome necklaces out of some of them now, this pretty little one is from Delilah Dust but I'm thinking of making my own as I'm a crafty creature.

Illamasqua cream pigment in hollow has always been sold out when I've gone to store but I'm determined to own this little beauty, perfect for contouring those cheekbones, although I believe this is better for cool tones than warm if you're thinking about it.

HOW TO | Stop Fake Make Up

Hello guys and dolls!

Isn't cheap makeup brilliant, everyone loves a bargain but when that bargain can contain ingredients like lead, copper, mercury, arsenic and cadmium is the few pounds worth it? Would you put any of this on your face, no.

Buying fake makeup by mistake is easy to do but it is dangerous and I don't think enough people know the difference and we really should!
I've found myself at 2am looking on eBay, Amazon and other sites for super discounted makeup, I ran out of Benefit Erase Paste It's not a must in my makeup bag but I did like it and it lasted a while so I thought 'Ohhh I'll have a nose' off I went and into a world of cheap makeup on ebay, Erase Paste is priced at £19.50 so it's quite a blow to the purse when you're a drug store queen!

After selecting what I was told was a real and genuine product for around £10 I couldn't wait to get my package, when it arrived the box looked exactly the same and then when I opened it and got to the pot, that's when I immediately realised fake.

Through this post the left pot is fake and the right is real.
