REVIEW | Herbal Essences Seductively Straight Heat Protection Intensive Cream

Herbal Essences Seductively Straight Heat Protection | £1.99 | Savers

I picked this up on a whim in savers when looking for a heat protectant, everyone knows they're important to keep your locks in good shape and this one claims to help straighten your hair too.
This is a cream protectant unlike my normal sprays, I've never used a cream one before but thought it might be better as I can pinpoint where I want the product and it seems super easy to use, you just pump it out and run it through the ends of your hair.
I read a few reviews and it seemed a pretty standard product that most people liked...However for my first ever 'negative' review I can tell you I really dislike this, I've used it multiple times and still don't like it, first time I used it I assumed I used too much and it was why my hair felt awful after using it but I tried again and again to no avail.

WISHLIST | April

Wishlist | March

I am in love with the new influx of beautiful gemstone and raw stone necklaces that have sprung up lately, between you and I for most of my childhood I collected a magazine called 'Treasures of the earth' that included a gem or mineral every two weeks, I kept my little collection secret for years but now I can let it free, I wish I'd kept them because I could have made some awesome necklaces out of some of them now, this pretty little one is from Delilah Dust but I'm thinking of making my own as I'm a crafty creature.

Illamasqua cream pigment in hollow has always been sold out when I've gone to store but I'm determined to own this little beauty, perfect for contouring those cheekbones, although I believe this is better for cool tones than warm if you're thinking about it.

MAC | Maleficent Collection.

I know this has been in the works for a while now but After the third trailer was released on the 18th of March for Disney's Maleficent I thought it would be fitting to post a first look at the MAC Maleficent range. Inspired by Angelina Jolie and not the cartoon version so it's much more grown up and not at all like the 1959 mistress of all evil, I'm itching to see if I'm lucky enough to grab some but I won't hold my breath!

REVIEW | MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural | Light Plus

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural | Light Plus | £22.00
I've never been a powder fan, infact I'd say I dislike powder mainly because I used to wear so much of it I had that weird matte fluffy cakey face look going on for so long it now just reminds me of that but after a lady at the Brighton MAC store dusted some on my face for me I thought I might try this.

REVIEW | Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation

I've been using Vichy Dermablend on and off for around 4 years now and I thought it definitely deserves a place on my blog.
It's claims?  'Dermablend gives total coverage, long lasting wear with a blendable moisturising texture. A high coated pigment concentration reaching a level of 25%, which offers twice the coverage of a traditional foundation with a natural lightweight finish.'
I had been looking for a foundation with a higher pigment level as normal foundations mean you have to layer for the same effect as this can give you in one go and after seeing a lot of people with acne using this I felt like I needed to see what the hype was about, I was also having my own problems with spots on my chin that was ruining the way I felt about myself.
I watched this video from Lisa Eldridge and she uses it and it's amazing watching this girls face change using this product.

FIRST WIN! | All Things Anita

I always see lots of people saying they've won competitions and I was almost 100% sure it was all lies and no one ever wins anything because I as an unlucky lady have never won anything apart from a competition from when I was a baby! However I entered Anita's give away after finding her blog and really enjoying it, I didn't think anything of it until I got a tweet saying I'd won!, I was so shocked I thought it was a joke..
A few days later the most well packaged parcel ever arrived, I mean even the tape was well done, Anita you are a packing extraordinaire.
The prize was a mystery box of goodies that totalled around £25 and I think it made me more excited not knowing what was coming.

I'm so pleased with everything I got in my box, the lip butter is so yummy smelling I want to eat it!! It really smells like fresh raspberries, just what I need as I have really horrible chapped lips at the moment and I'd picked up the MUA palette so many times and thought I'd wait till next payday so thank you so much Anita, I will be reviewing a few of these products separately for anyone wanting to know more.
Have you ever won anything or are you as sceptical as I was?

Muji | Acrylic Drawers and Makeup Storage

My beauty product collection is getting a little out of hand and I've got nowhere to store it other than to just chuck it in drawers, not what you want when you need to find things quickly and easily. I've got some Ikea Godmorgon storage that is brilliant for organising the inside of my drawers but I needed something for my dressing table and that's where Muji comes in.
The Company’s basic principle is to develop new simple products at reasonable prices by making the best use of materials while considering environmental issues and there's no fancy gimmicks in the packaging, products come in a plastic wrap and that's it. Clean and simple.
These drawers are sturdy, practical and cheap and the size of all the products are online so you can measure up before you buy.
I was in Carnaby street meeting a pal and I quickly ran in, seriously the shop is like heaven for anyone like me who loves organising things.
I went for the 2 drawers with the flip lid in wide as they do a slimmer one but this fits perfectly in the gap on my dresser and a simple pen pot for some of my brushes as I can't fit any in my current one.

Penny Pinching | Primark High Waisted Jeans

Top Picks // High Waisted Jeans

I'm a fat girl, theres no hiding it and I don't ever wear jeans as I have very large thighs and a small waist so this means tight round my bum and gaping around my waist when I found high waisted jeans I was so happy but even then I found them impossible to find in soft denim until I tried on Topshops Joni Jeans. I then decided £39 was too much to spend on some jeans I may never wear so I made it my mission to find a cheaper pair that still felt like the Topshop ones and I did!

REVIEW | Collection | Does It All 5 In One Mascara

After trying two Collection mascaras and being let down both times I was very unsure on this but I'd seen a few people say this is the perfect dupe for Benefit's they're real and at £3.99 I thought I'd have to try it!
It comes in two colours.. Black and well Black! Ones called Ultra black. Collection even does a waterproof version for people who can't live without it. This mascara claims that it's long wearing, it curls, volumises, lengthens and conditions your lashes, I definitely think it does all those things but maybe not condition. I've not noticed if my lashes are in bad or good condition so I'd have no idea how to tell, maybe this is why they're so annoyingly straight and short! I've been wanting a new mascara that curls and lengthens for me as I have these silly lashes that just stick out, curling doesn't always work either so anything that will help is always welcome in my make up bag.
