REVIEW & SWATCHES | Gleam Anastasia Glow Kit

My trip to Florida meant I could get some make up that you cant get in the UK yet, I of course went a bit OTT but when on holiday go crazy, right?

I picked up both of the Anastasia glow kits at $40 each but I decided just to keep the Gleam palette, I thought out of the two I'd want to keep the 'That Glow' one as it was all gold and warm tones but it was in my opinion more for the medium and darker skinned of us and I'm hella pasty, even after two weeks in Florida. This kit is the cooler of the two and I find it suits my skin tone more however after using for the last few weeks it will definitely suit all skin tones.

REVIEW | Air Optix Colored Lenses from Feel Good Contacts

As a brown eyed girl I've always been incredibly envious of anyone with green or blue eyes but I've noticed a lot of Youtube stars such as Patrick Starrr & my mega girl crush Samantha Ravndahl (Batalash) have worn contacts to enhance their eye colour or change it completely.

I decided to try some to mix up my look a little and I received these from *Feel Good Contact Lenses, I opted for the colour sterling gray as it wasn't as bold as blue but I still wanted something totally different to my normal look.

REVIEW | YOSO Heated Lash Curler

My lashes are mid length but don't like to curl, they just like to stay straight and it's really frustrating spending time getting my mascara looking bomb for them to still be straight so I introduce to you the YOSO Lash*, a heated wand to curl those babies to perfection.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS | Zoeva Luxe Complete Brush Set

I know, I haven't posted in such a long time you've probably forgotten I exist but grab yourself a cuppa because my return post is going to be a big one!
As I'm off to Makeup school in March I 'had' to get a new set of brushes solely for my kit, I have a large collection of brushes that I use for myself but I needed something really great to use on my clients and students at the school.
I decided to hop on the Zoeva bandwagon as I've heard great things about all of their brushes bar the rose gold set, apparently they tarnish, they have a huge selection of brushes and they're affordable so I chose the Luxe Complete Brush Set, this set cost £94.95, now personally on my 14 hour a week wages that's a lot of money but I think it's great value.

REVIEW | Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit

The contour hype this year hasn't seemed to ease off, the shots of Kim Kardashian with her insanely contoured face seem to be what every makeup lover is striving for, however we all know in our day to day life we don't need to contour that much because we, unlike Kim K or Beyonce don't perform or go to modeling shoots 24/7. I used to and I still know a lot of people that do contour using a bronzer and due to my skin tone it was probably the biggest mistake ever, orange isn't a good look guys.
If you want to do it like a pro the answer to your contouring prayers have been answered in the must have palette of 2014.

REVIEW | Urban Decay Shadowbox

The Urban Decay Shadow Box contains 12 shadows including some intense brights through to a mix of golden shades that are perfect for the upcoming season!
I ordered this on a whim and I wont say I regret it because I got it really cheaply but it's probably not the best palette for first time Urban Decayers. My issue with this is there's only one matte shade even though the description says it's a mix of shimmer and matte. Tut tut Urban Decay.

REVIEW | Makeup Revolution Cover & Conceal Palette

Makeup Revolution is still taking the drug store makeup world by storm but we don't have it in my local Superdrug so on a trip to Worthing I grabbed this Cover & Conceal Palette for £6 and it was on a 3 for 2 offer.

REVIEW | £3 & £1.59 Makeup Brushes?

I recently found myself on CN Direct, the home of everything made in China, ever. Lurking the Makeup section I found some brushes that looked really nice but for the price how good could they really be?

The 4 Face brushes cost £3.34, These are available in 6 colourways and each face set contains a Tapered, Round, Flat and Angled top brush. Each eye set is £1.59 and contains 5 brushes, again in 6 colourways including a Flat Angled, Round Angled, Flat, Flat Rounded and a Tapered brush. These are honestly some of the softest brushes I've ever felt, I've spent a fair amount of time just rubbing them over my face.. in the most non weird way ever.

REVIEW | Illamasqua | Hydra Veil

I know when Hydra Veil was released there was this huge hype so I dived right in and got a pot when visiting the flag ship store and then when visiting with a voucher I was given for Christmas I got another pot in the fantastic 'Skin Trinity' deal they did, it was at the time £50 (Now £70!) So I've had two pots and a long enough time to truly say I love this product.

What is Hydra Veil I hear you shriek! Well...

REVIEW | Sleek I Divine In Ultra Bright Matte V1 Palette

Sleek Palette | Boots
Has anyone else noticed there's not a lot of colourful palettes available on the high street? Unless you want to go high end you're pretty limited, I noticed on my hunt that every single make up company had a selection of mini palettes or colour trios but they're all dark/nude/smokey minus a few shades.
I'd seen this before so many times but this palette is amazingly bright I had to reason with myself  'Am I ever going to wear these colours?' my heart won the battle but when I got to the counter I had enough points on my advantage card so it was free, definitely a sign it wanted to come home with me.

REVIEW | Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation

I've been using Vichy Dermablend on and off for around 4 years now and I thought it definitely deserves a place on my blog.
It's claims?  'Dermablend gives total coverage, long lasting wear with a blendable moisturising texture. A high coated pigment concentration reaching a level of 25%, which offers twice the coverage of a traditional foundation with a natural lightweight finish.'
I had been looking for a foundation with a higher pigment level as normal foundations mean you have to layer for the same effect as this can give you in one go and after seeing a lot of people with acne using this I felt like I needed to see what the hype was about, I was also having my own problems with spots on my chin that was ruining the way I felt about myself.
I watched this video from Lisa Eldridge and she uses it and it's amazing watching this girls face change using this product.

REVIEW | Collection | Does It All 5 In One Mascara

After trying two Collection mascaras and being let down both times I was very unsure on this but I'd seen a few people say this is the perfect dupe for Benefit's they're real and at £3.99 I thought I'd have to try it!
It comes in two colours.. Black and well Black! Ones called Ultra black. Collection even does a waterproof version for people who can't live without it. This mascara claims that it's long wearing, it curls, volumises, lengthens and conditions your lashes, I definitely think it does all those things but maybe not condition. I've not noticed if my lashes are in bad or good condition so I'd have no idea how to tell, maybe this is why they're so annoyingly straight and short! I've been wanting a new mascara that curls and lengthens for me as I have these silly lashes that just stick out, curling doesn't always work either so anything that will help is always welcome in my make up bag.

REVIEW | Anastasia Beverly Hills | Brow Pomade | Chocolate

When I arrived home last night there was a package on my bed, I think this package was sent from God or some higher being because it contained Anastasia's Dipbrow Pomade.

After using Anastasia's Brow Wiz I was itching to try the pomade but it was always out of stock when I had the money, however I finally have it and I'm rather excited about the pot of joy!

REVIEW | MUA Blusher | Cupcake, Candyfloss & Bon Bon

 MUA Blushers // Superdrug // £1 each for 2.4g

What can you get for £1 these days? Not a lot but as always MUA prove you can get your moneys worth. I've been wearing the same MAC blusher on and off for around 2 years and always go back to it but lately I've noticed I don't actually like it! I was on the hunt for some new bits in Superdrug and had a quick look at the MUA stand I then noticed they'd changed the packaging on the blush. I used to have a few and they all smashed so hadn't gone back but the new packaging lured me in and seemed much better, the lid stays shut and the overall product isn't huge and bulky in my makeup bag and looks super sleek. I picked up the shades Cupcake a soft peach shade, Candyfloss a pinky shade with rosey pink flecks of shimmer in and Bon Bon a brighter Apricot shade. I don't tend to like shimmer in my blush so it's nice to find some matte ones as I'm pretty sure cheaper makeup brands think glitter explosion chic is always in?

REVIEW | Rimmel | Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Black // £7.99

I seem to be a total mascara fiend, I can never find one I adore and I flit from tube to tube, I've settled on this Rimmel Lash Accelerator one and so far I really like it. It's priced at £7.99 but I found it in Savers for £4.89 and it swayed me to buy it.
The consistency of this is quite wet so it's very easy to apply and the reason I picked it out of the various ones on the stand because of the wand, I always go for a comb for length and a brush for volume. I like how combs really separate my lashes with minimal effort.
I have stubby but straight eyelashes and unless I curl them they don't curl a massive amount with just a mascara, this doesn't curl a great deal but it claims to extend lashes by up to 99%, I would say it extends mine a good amount and it also has micro fibres in, the formula is clump free and I agree I usually have clump free lashes!

I probably shouldn't have done my eyeliner in these pictures but as always I totally didn't think. This is with the mascara on alone with no curling and compared to my normal lashes with no mascara they are much longer and fuller looking. I like how it thickens yet separates my lashes, I like this product and overall I think it's great for everyday use but I'd like a bit more va va voom for when I'm heading out for the night!

Do you use this or have you tried it? What do you think?
